Cabinet Knobs on Dresser Drawers

What do you think about using cabinet knobs as drawer pulls? I have recently started paying more attention to the types of hardware on drawers and have noticed that some of them look like what would be more so traditionally used on kitchen cabinets, just as in the photo below.

Do You Prefer Knobs or Pulls?

Do you think the knobs complement the dresser well or is there some room for improvement?

In my opinion this style is a little outdated, especially the contrasting colors as seen above. Although it does create an overall cottage or cozy aesthetic if that’s what you are trying to achieve.

If I were to makeover this small chest and bring it up to a more modern standard I would use handle bars that are meant to look very ornate or carved. This would give it a more custom and high quality design.

Although the carved handles are very obviously vintage inspired, everything always come back around and the custom, ornate style can be seen often by major home interior retailers and home design magazines.

A small footed wooden chest of drawers like this is very hard to come by these days and it’s certainly fun to think of how it can be styled and upcycled to match modern times.
