When did the hoop shape become popular for drawer pulls? From what I can tell these gold ring drawer pulls are more of a modern style from the late 2000’s and onwards. The don’t quite fit the era of mod 60’s glam, 70’s muted style, 80’s deco style, or 90’s traditional/ Americana. They may just be a modern glam style.

Gold Ring Drawer Pulls

I am afraid that I would never be able to use this style of pull for any frequently used furniture as the action of pulling on the ring and relying on the mounting would give me anxiety every time.

I know they are supposed to be secure if installed properly but I know I would be heavy handed with them and perhaps they wouldn’t last as long as they would if I was someone who was more careful.

Do you prefer the look of large hoops or dainty rings? Obviously either choice could change the whole appeal of a dresser depending on the size of the drawers. I tend to go for an oversized look in any scenario and find it interesting to imagine one giant hoop per drawer.
